Job Description:
The Drafter is directly responsible for creating accurate construction plans and will collaborate with Designers and the Production Team and use CAD software to create detailed drawings and construction specifications. Your skills will be essential in translating design concepts into accurate technical plans. A passion for details and an eye for efficiency makes the Draftsperson an invaluable member of the Design Team. Required Experience:

Basic construction knowledge

Use of CAD software

REVIT, Chief Architect, AutoCad, SolidBuilder, or similar

Basic materials knowledge
Responsibilities:
Act as an example of Company Mission and Ethics
Communicate effectively with Sales, Production, and Project Management Teams
Ensure Standard Construction Procedures are documented and maintained
Collaborate with Design, Sales, and Production teams to improve processes and deliver a positive client experience
Verify efficiency and quality of all construction plans
Maintain current plans for all active projects
Duties:
Create detailed construction plan sets
Create and maintain a portfolio on standard construction details including sections, cutaways, and specifications
Create construction standard diagrams and instructions
Create detailed renderings for presentations and marketing
Create custom home plans
Create framing panel detail plans and documents
Develop a strong knowledge of local building codes
Research and maintain reference documents of building materials
Prepare bid requests and material specifications
Assist Sales and design teams with client documents
Attend client meetings, site visits, and pre-start meetings as needed
Collaborate with Designers and Production team to continuously improve construction efficiencies

Required education: High school or equivalent. Degree in drafting or design given preference.
